At Southern Cryonics, we are aware that many of our supporters have loved ones with whom they wish to share their cryonic journey. This often includes pets such as dogs and cats. For some time, it has been our aim to include these valued family members in our patient group, in line with the practice of overseas cryonics organisations in USA and Europe. As we have recently increased the storage capacity at our Holbrook facility with a second dewar, we are now able to do so.
We are pleased to announce that from now onwards, Southern Cryonics welcomes applications from owners for cryonic suspension of their pets. The cost will vary according to the storage volume needed. Whilst the storage volume needed for a human patient does not vary significantly, the volume needed for a pet depends on widely differing species and breeds. Please feel free to ask us about your pet, particularly if he or she is expected to pass away in the near future. As with a human patient, an optimal suspension depends on planning and readiness when your pet passes, so that delays can be avoided, minimising ischaemic damage to the brain.
